In August of 1990, soldiers from the Iraqi Republican Guards invaded the small Persian Gulf country of Kuwait with the intention of stealing an entire country. As Desert Shield turned into Desert Storm, a small group of soldiers were deployed from Augsburg, Germany to the KTO to assist with the defeat of the invading army. This group of soldiers called themselves the Desert Storm Ruffians. When the Ruffians first landed in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, they were excited about the prosects of becoming a part of history but soon learned there would be a price for that honor. The Ruffians worked as Intelligence Targeting Analysts in the theatre level intelligence center known as the ARCENT TCAE. They endured Scud attacks, suffocating smoke from the oil well fires ignited by fleeing Iraqi soldiers, sudden sand storms, tainted food and water, snipers, and of course bordom. But the one thing they hadn't counted on was the lasting effect from the horrors and the sheer brutality of war they witnessed. The Ruffians were tasked with a difficult mission under difficult circumstances and this book is based on their story.

| Twelve years ago CW2 Tom Haigler was attached to the unit that would spearhead the 7th Corps into Iraq and annihilate the Tawakalna Division of Saddam's elite Republican Guard. As a Physician Assistant his mission was to ready not only his medics, but himself, to care for the more than 200 casualties the ground war promised. 131 Days was created from his daily journal and gives a first hand account of what the medics in a frontline aid station face. There were many aspects to the war fought in Iraq. One was witnessed daily on CNN; precision guided missiles, spectacular explosions, the burning skies of Baghdad. Another; the 100 hour ground war, where not only are we impressed with what modern weaponry can inflict on the human body, but how much damage the human body can withstand. The last is the battle of the mind; the emotions, the fear, the anger, relief, the guilt. This is the aspect of the war he describes. 131 Days is an important reminder of what soldiers face on a personal level when combat is inevitable. Order and read reviews for 131 Days at Amazon.com . | Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, there are men and women out on the streets who have chosen to take on the ne'er-do-wells of society. The incidents related in this book gives an insight into the trageties and triumphs, the horror and the satisfaction that comes with being a cop in America today. Come along as the author takes you on a ride through the streets of Chattanooga, Tennessee and reveals a world that is very rarely seen by the average person. From dangerous high-speed pursuits to officer-involved shootings and the untimely deaths of fellow officers, being a cop is not always what it is cracked up to be. |

Coming Soon! A Lamb of Sacrifice By Marty Penny
Marty Penny's second book, A Lamb of Sacrifice, tells the story of a rookie Chattanooga cop who is arrested for First Degree Murder after a deadly shoot-out with members of a violent street gang, the East 13th Street Mafia Crips. The book centers around the rookie, Michael Lambrowski, and details the beginning of his law enforcement career after making the decision to leave the United States Army to pursue a more stable life for his family. It also gives an insight into the world and mentality of a street gang, light years apart from those of law-abiding citizens. A Lamb of Sacrifice is currently in the editing stages with the publisher, Publish America, and will be available in the upcoming months. Stay tuned for the front cover photo, which will be added just as soon as it is available!!!

Step inside the walls of one of the largest correctional facilities in the United States and the madness experienced by not only the inmates but also the men and women who are charged with guarding them. This book details the career of a former Marine and U.S. Army National Guardsman who devoted his entire career to protecting society from murderers and rapists, drunks and drug addicts. The stories told in this book are true, and the author makes no apologies for the language and the violence that occurred inside the living, breathing demon known as a jail. Come inside, if you dare!
